What is ACSR Conductor ASTM B232?

ACSR Conductor ASTM B232 (steel reinforced aluminum conductors) They are suitable for use in all practical spans on wooden posts, transmission towers and other structures. The application range is from extra high voltage transmission lines (EHV) up to subservice sections in distribution voltages or use in private facilities.

ACSR Conductor ASTM B232 have a long service history due to their economy, reliability and strength-to-weight ratio. The combination of light weight and high conductivity of aluminum with the strength of steel cores allows for higher voltages, Less camber and longer spans than any other alternative. All aluminum conductors reinforced with steel (ACSR) consist of a central core of single or stranded solid steel enclosed by strands of 1350-H19 aluminum.
