2/0AWG Welding Cable

What is Welding Cable 2/0AWG?

Welding cable 2/0AWG driver material is braided naked copper. The insulation material is made of ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) or neoprene, providing excellent heat resistance, to abrasion and mechanical force. The color is black, but other colors are available for specific coding needs. Rated voltage 600 volts. Operating temperature range: generally from -50 °C a +105 °C.

Also know as: battery cable,  welding 2/0, temporary power cord, cable flexible 2/0, cable 600 volts, copper wire 2/0, welders cable 2/0, hurricane cable, etc.

Welding Cable Standard 2/0AWG

ASTM B-172 – Standard Specification for Soft Copper Wires and Cables for Electrical Transmission and Distribution Service.

What are the main cable applications?

Los welding cables 2/0AWG are mainly used to connect secondary circuits (welding) of AC and DC welding machines, particularly for stationary welders with long cables. With its nominal capacity of 600 volts, welding cables can also serve as portable power cables. Can be used as a replacement for battery cables, especially for starting and winching applications, but it is essential to secure them correctly to avoid any abrasion against the vehicle body.
